چکیده

Abstract The elastodynamic half-space Green’s function has been the subject of research for more than a century since Lamb’s classical solution. Here, we revisit problem and present new closed analytical solution, in frequency domain, based upon Principle Equipartition (EQP) Energy. This principle asserts that imaginary parts tensor components equal average cross-correlations fields generated by uniform incidence P S body waves Rayleigh surface with amplitudes weighted partition factors. real part is Hilbert transform part. We validate our results comparing synthetic seismograms well-known solutions buried forces discuss implications this Constructing diffuse first step identifying them nature. Graphical

Fundamental Steady state Solution for the Transversely Isotropic Half Space

Response of a transversely isotropic 3-D half-space subjected to a surface time-harmonic excitation is presented in analytical form. The derivation of the fundamental solutions expressed in terms of displacements is based on the prefect series of displacement potential functions that have been obtained in the companion paper by the authors. First the governing equations are uncoupled in the cyl...

A new Fast Multipole formulation for the elastodynamic half-space Green's tensor

In this article, a version of the frequency-domain elastodynamic Fast Multipole-Boundary Element Method (FM-BEM) for semi-infinite media, based on the half-space Green’s tensor (and hence avoiding any discretization of the planar traction-free surface), is presented. The half-space Green’s tensor is often used (in non-multipole form until now) for computing elastic wave propagation in the conte...

Analytical Solution for a Two-Layer Transversely Isotropic Half-Space Affected by an Arbitrary Shape Dynamic Surface Load

The dynamic response of a transversely isotropic, linearly elastic layer bonded to the surface of a half-space of a different transversely isotropic material under arbitrary shape surface loads is considered. With the help of displacements and stresses Green’s functions, an analytical formulation is presented for the determination of the displacements and stresses at any point in both surface l...

analytical solution for a transversely isotropic half-space due to torsion on the wall of a finite length cylindrical cavity

in this article, a transversely isotropic linear elastic half-space with depth wise isotropy axis of material containing a cylindrical cavity of finite length is considered to be under the effect of an arbitrary torsion force applied on the wall of the cavity. to this end, the equation of equilibrium has been written in a cylindrical coordinate system, by dividing the involved domain to two reg...
